Vivian

Sweet little Vivian is so beautiful. I was so excited to see her again...but she was acting like something was bothering her. After awhile we decided her heart wasn't quite in it we called it a day. Her mommy later found out that she was not feeling well. I still enjoyed her session, she is the cutest. Hopefully next time she will be feeling better and we can get a few more smiles. Morgan, thank you for bringing her in and I hope she is feeling 100% better very soon. : )

Christmas and EJ Blog happenings.

I am taking it easy for the next couple of weeks by only shooting a couple photo sessions so I can focus on some of the behind the scenes work...and spend quality time with my family, of course! If you frequent my blog, you will notice things are a little "off" right now. One of my goals during my time off shooting is to organize my blog and spiff it up a little. After about ten minutes I realized that Blog code is slightly over my head. I will be working on this with the help of a web designer to try to get the kinks out. I hope to have things up and running again by the new year. That said, I look forward to seeing many dear clients again this coming year and also meeting new clients as I spend time with their little ones.
Thank you for your patience with my blog as it gets a little makeover. I hope you'll visit again in a week or so. Until then, have a wonderful and blessed Christmas! And thank you for your encouragement and kind words in 2009. I am so thankful for the many people I have met and the amazing children that I have been blessed to get to know.

Claire

Claire is 18 months! The one feature I notice on any person is their eyes and Claire has the most amazing eyes! When I look into her eyes I am taken back at how beautiful they are! I would have a hard time ever saying no to this little one! Working with an 18 month old is always interesting. I never know what will catch their attention. For Claire, swinging necklaces and then dropping them to hear the "plunk" sound was what made her happy. Ok, that works for me....go ahead and swing and plunk the necklaces ; ) She is such a cutie and a very normal toddler on a quest for the next interesting object that catches her attention. She is so adorable-
thank you, Jill for bringing her in.

Matthew's Little Angel

My cousin Matthew recently passed away after a tragic car accident and a courageous fight for his life in the hospital. Matt is described as a "free spirit" and that is exactly what he was---and that is exactly what I see in his beautiful son, Elias Matthew. I cannot pinpoint why exactly, but I see so much of Matt in Eli. I don't know if it is the way he is built, or his eyes or other features, but when I look at Eli...I see Matt. Maybe that is why I so badly wanted to photograph little Eli while he was on a visit to his grandma and grandpa's. Everyone who knew Matt has a hard time grasping that he is gone...and our hearts ache. Being around Eli brings Matt back in some way---knowing that someone Matt loved so dearly was with us and yet he is someone who isn't surrounded by grief and mourning, but is happy, content and joyous. If there is any person who can bring any hope into a tragedy, it is a child. He is so full of life and the wonder of a two-year old ready to explore the world. As tired as I was trying to get him to look my direction for his pictures, I am so thankful I had the opportunity to spend some time with him. Eli is a gift.

Mischievous little doggie!! Too cute, though!!!

My favorite age!!

I absolutely ADORE six month old babies! If only they stayed that way for an extra couple months. Their world and perspective changes when they are able to sit up on their own. Little Zuly was no exception. She was truly a joy to work with. I loved all her accessories and her easy-going nature. Everything about her was precious. Magali, thank you for bringing her in. Enjoy her everyday, time flies and your beautiful little girl is growing quick! It seems like yesterday she was in for her newborn photos!

Jordan turns 2

The last time I saw Jordan for photos he was on the move---but this time he was really on the move! Two year old boys never particularly enjoy sitting still for too long, so I knew I had to be ready with ideas when Jordan showed up. It took him a little while to get into the groove, but he did really well. We had lots of tricks up our sleeves (and a container full of m&ms for "incentive") and it helped a lot. I think he did really good. Thank you, Lynne for brining him in!
